BIKE    ROUTES

                     

 

    * In 1999 some bike routes were signposted:

        * Alaró- Orient- Bunyola (20 km)

       * Alfàbia gardens (Túnel de Sóller)- Coll de Sóller (8 km)

 

 

        * Santa María- Camí de Coanegra- Alaró (8 km)

        * Santa María- Camí Vell de Muro- Biniali (8 km)

 

    * In 2000 and 2001 more routes were signposted around Llucmajor and Campos.

    * Llucmajor- Camí de s'Aguila- Capocorb Vell : 13,4 km.

    * Llucmajor- Camí de Cala Pí- Crta. dels Pressos : 11,2 km.

 

(Bike Roues in green)

  * Llucmajor- Camí de son Marrano- Camí d'es Revellar- Campos : 16,7 km.

  * Llucmajor- Camí de son Marrano- Camí de sa Sorda- Campos : 18,8 km.

   * Llucmajor- Camí de Gràcia- Santuari de Gràcia : 4,5 km.

 

           

 

    * Llucmajor- Camí de son Mendívil-Algaida : 7,5 km.

 

 

    * Between 2004 and 2005,  235 kilometres of bike routes were signposted: 201 km. are for road bikes and 34 km for mountain bikes.

  * If you want to take your bike on the train it's possible on the trains to Inca, Manacor and Sa Pobla (but not on the train to Sóller). The number of bikes per train is restricted to 4. You can take the bikes on all trains on the weekend, but from Monday to Friday some trains in rush hour don't allow bikes. It is free of charge.

   

A bike route from Campos to Pollença is being planned

          * The majorcan government needs a 50 % subvention from Madrid . The project costs 5.7 milion €.
 
             *  The bike route will cross the following villages: Alcúdia, Pollença,
            Campanet, sa Pobla, Muro, Santa Margalida, Ariany, Maria de la
            Salut, Petra, Sineu, Artà, Manacor, Sant Llorenç, Felanitx, Campos and
            Santanyí.

  - On 2007 work has started on the ECOVIES around Petra, Maria, Muro, Pollença, Alcúdia and Santa Margalida.
